Well I am back, and pretty glad about it, although I had a ton of fun. I missed home though; I woke up this morning and I was like, "Where the hell am I?" It's pretty sad when you don't even recognize your own room anymore.
My favourite day of the two weeks was the day went to Notre Dame. I can't even begin to explain why it was my favourite, but I will make an attempt at it. First we went to mass at the cathedral. That is one of the reasons in itself since it is my favourite cathedral of all time, and I love gothic architecture, and I was completely entranced in it, not even paying attention to the mass. Next was Montmartre, the artist district which was where I became Lady of the Pidgeons according to Felicia who spent like forever trying to find a painting for her family, and then was the Eiffel tower. It was amazing seeing all of Paris. Amanda (who found the pidgeon) and I named a pidgeon Hammy in honour of our Writer's Craft teacher (long story that I'm not willing to explain in writing). And then the boat tour was absolutely amazing.
Close second was the day we went to Pompeii. The ruins were exquisite (in lack of a better adjective), and it smelled amazing. Yes, people looked at me like I was insane when I made this comment (not that they haven't looked at me like that before). You could still smell the ash in the air; the ruins were surrounded by trees; my favourite weather decided to grace us with it's presence (rain in sunlight); it smelled so completely clean and fresh. I loved it. The hotel we slept in at the end of the day was in the middle of nowhere (literally we almost died getting there on the bus) and had an arcade room. We had a couple of fuzeball tournaments and we had Soul Calibur to keep us company; also I got to go on the internet for the first time in a week and talk to my friend Stephanie. I was in a good mood at the end of that day.
Right now I feel competely fine and relaxed. I don't think that my internal clock ever switched to European time, so I will be attending school tomorrow. Expect pictures to come, because I have a lot I want to put up. The art in Europe is very inspiring; you have no idea how many times I jut wanted to sit down and draw, but couldn't. And hopefully I'll eventually finish the Unit 00 sketch I was doing sometime soon, but I do have an Art project to work on, so we'll see how it works out.
I missed everyone!
